Diabetic nephropathy without albuminuria renal damage can be reversed
If Diabetes patients can discover kidney problems before albuminuria symptoms appear, kidney damage is not inevitable, and may even reverse and cure kidney damage. However, due to the general lack of understanding of diabetic nephropathy among diabetes patients, few people take the initiative to check up until the harm to the kidney is very serious.
Why is it so difficult to find diabetic nephropathy at the early stage? The kidneys of the human body have a strong reserve of ability. When the kidney function of the human body is damaged by less than 50 %, the human body will not notice it. The damage to the kidney caused by diabetic nephropathy is gradual. When a large amount of albuminuria appears, the damage to the kidney caused by diabetes cannot be avoided and only palliative treatment can be carried out to reduce the damage of diabetes mellitus to nephrosis. The damage already caused cannot be reversed.
At present, the incidence of diabetes in our country is very high, especially in type 2 diabetes, which is high in number. After 10 to 15 years, the risk of renal failure and uremia and diabetic nephropathy of these people will increase accordingly. In fact, in China, the dialysis rate of diabetic nephropathy patients is about 15 %, in European and American countries, it accounts for 40 % basically. If it can be found early and dialysis is avoided, the treatment cost will be saved by at least 80 % to 90 %!
Dialysis, whether hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis, will take up a lot of people's time and money and seriously disturb the normal life order, causing the daily rhythm to be disrupted. Take hemodialysis as an example. Patients need to go back and forth to the hospital 2 to 3 times a week for 2 to 3 hours each time. Over the course of a year, the cost of dialysis alone is as high as 60,000 to 80,000. It does not include medicine expenses, travel expenses, delays, etc.
